General info about Datil Pepper Products
Heirloom Datil peppers have only two colors. Mature green and brilliant orange. Both offer similar heat and flavors and most orders are shipped primarily with mature green peppers. It's important to note, unlike tomatoes, datil peppers do not ripen any further off of the vine. Our fresh Datil pepper packages are mixed color packages and include both mature green datil peppers and some "all ripe'" orange, with the majority being green (80-90%).
